Tip-Ex and Commercial Motor join forces

G&T Events, the company behind the highly successful Tip-Ex exhibition, is delighted to announce that Commercial Motor Magazine has become its “Official Partner” for Tip-Ex08.

Commercial Motor is the transport industry’s leading weekly publication and alongside its stable mates, Motor Transport and Truck and Driver, forms part of Reed Business Information (RBI), one of the biggest business to business publishers in the world.

“We’re delighted to be linking up with Tip-Ex08 for the promotion of this major UK exhibition,” said Commercial Motor publishing director Roger Williams.
“The tipper sector is extremely important to the UK economy and the operators in that sector have clearly demonstrated their desire for a stand alone UK show. This partnership reflects that.”

G&T director Dave Tallent commented:
“This exciting partnership will ensure Tip-Ex08 receives maximum exposure, not only in the magazine itself, but also on RBI’s excellent and informative website, www.roadtransport.com.”

“We have also agreed a raft of other promotional activities with Commercial Motor, including the insertion of the show guide into the magazine prior to the exhibition.

“All this means that potential visitors will be kept fully informed of all Tip-Ex developments and activities.

“Tippers, Harrogate and May have been a long standing dish of the UK transport industry. Tip-Ex brings those ingredients together once again and gives the sector the opportunity to properly showcase its wares.”

Tip-Ex08 on course to be a sell out

Tip-Ex08 is selling out fast, with well over 90% of the available stands already booked.
Demand has been so great that organiser G&T Events has added yet more outside exhibition space.  To augment the Majestic car park area, it recently announced the addition of the Majestic lawns and already this area has virtually sold out.
As a result it has now been decided to add an area of hard standing in front of the hotel terrace, overlooking the main exhibition halls.
“We have reduced the costs too, not only of entry to the show, but also for places at the gala dinner,” said Dave Tallent, G&T director.
“Now visitors can book tickets for the show in advance for just £4 or for £5 on the door while tickets for the gala dinner are just £75 including VAT – a reduction of nearly 9% compared to last year”,.
“Tippers, Harrogate and May have been a long standing dish of the UK transport industry. Tip-Ex brings those ingredients together once again and gives the sector the opportunity to properly showcase its wares.”

Three year deal for Tip-Ex

Following the resounding success of this year’s Tip-Ex exhibition, organisers G&T Events Ltd have signed a contract with the Harrogate International Centre (HIC) to stage the specialist tipper show there for the next three years.
The move comes as advance bookings for next year’s show already account for over 90 percent of the available space, with more reservations in the pipeline.
The 2008 exhibition will be well over 50 percent bigger than this year’s event and occupy all four of the ground level halls at the HIC.
There will also be large external display areas located within the Majestic Hotel grounds.
Virtually all the exhibitors who took space this year have signed up again for next year with bookings and interest from new exhibitors running high.
G&T Director Dave Tallent commented:
“We are delighted to have reached agreement with the HIC to hold Tip-Ex in Harrogate for at least the next three years.
“Harrogate provides the ideal location for our exhibitors and visitors, allowing them to combine business with pleasure. Part of our decision to commit to the next three years was the HIC’s exciting plans to develop the exhibition halls into a world class facility, and we look forward to working closely with them as we both develop and expand Tip-Ex in the future”.
Tip-Ex is the only UK exhibition dedicated solely to the tipper and bulk transport industry.  Next year’s show will be held from the 23rd to the 25th May.
